Your first week, meal by meal

Days 1–3 · smooth and lukewarm. Blended vegetable soup (sweet potato, carrot, squash). Greek yogurt. Soft scrambled eggs. Cottage cheese. Small sips of water all day.

Days 4–7 · soft, but a real plate. Flaked wild salmon. Mashed sweet potato or potato. Steamed vegetables, very tender. Half a ripe avocado. A drizzle of olive oil.

Not yet. Crunchy, chewy or spicy food. Alcohol. Anything very hot. Straws, if your dentist says so.

Week 2 and after. Back to my everyday plate as your dentist allows: half vegetables or a colorful salad, a quarter protein, a quarter potatoes, sweet potatoes or fresh corn tortillas, and some good fat. The more color, the better.

One warm recipe: golden sweet potato soup

Ingredients. 1 sweet potato · 2 carrots · ½ onion · 1 tablespoon olive oil · 3 cups broth · ½ teaspoon turmeric · salt · ½ cup coconut milk

Step 1. Soften the onion in the olive oil.

Step 2. Add the vegetables, broth and turmeric. Simmer 20 minutes, until everything is tender.

Step 3. Blend with the coconut milk until smooth. Serve lukewarm, never hot.

Stock the hotel fridge before your appointment

Greek yogurt · cottage cheese · ripe avocados · eggs (if you have a kitchen) · a ready-made vegetable soup · still water.

Ask your hotel if they can warm a soup for you. Most can.

Someone already thought about your first meals. If you’d like someone beside you for everything around your treatment — the meals, the nights, the trip home — send me a message. We’ll set up your free call, up to 30 minutes.

Your dentist’s instructions always come first: if they tell you something different about food, follow them. This guide is general and doesn’t replace medical advice. WhatsApp is for questions about the programs, not for health details. What you write to me on WhatsApp stays with me; I don’t share it with the clinic.
